Born and raised in southwest Florida. He was introduced to saltwater fishing at a young age, fishing the barrier island beaches for snook and Red fish mostly with a fly rod. Today, tarpon are his primary target during the summer months. The rest of his time is spent on the shallow grass flats in search of snook and Red on light tackle and fly. The majority of his time is spent guiding his home waters of SW Florida, but greatly enjoys any opportunity to travel to new waters.
Daniel is a an avid fly tier and excellent teacher on the flats. He is also a successful tarpon and Red fish tournament angler, now including the IFA Red fish Series.
